Sarah + Andrew’s wedding day was the perfect start to my fall wedding season. I absolutely adore these two and the love that they share. They are the perfect compliment to each other and they were an absolute JOY to work with throughout the entire wedding process! I know I say it all the time, but I really do have the best clients in the world! Their day started off with a sweet First Look in the garden and Andrew’s reaction was priceless. It’s exactly what every bride wants her future husband to feel when he sees her for the first time… pure joy. I mean, you couldn’t script a more perfect First Look than the one that Sarah + Andrew shared. SWOON!!
After taking some portraits around the property, they were joined by their bridal party for group photos. These two have so much love and support in their lives… they are truly lucky! Everyone was so happy, so supportive, and so kind to me and my team. Again… I have the best clients :) Before long, they were reciting their vows and exchanging rings at St Luke’s in a sweet ceremony with one of the most moving homilies I’ve ever heard. I’m not exactly what you’d call religious… I consider myself to be spiritual… but there is something about a ceremony rooted in religion that just moves me. The way they talk about marriage and love rings so true in my own heart. It was such a beautiful ceremony!!
Afterwards, Sarah + Andrew spent the evening celebrating and dancing the night away with their family + friends. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone was so excited to celebrate the newlyweds. At the end of the night, Sarah + Andrew exited through a tunnel of sparklers… a beautiful ending to an incredible day! Here are some of my favorites from Sarah + Andrew’s beautiful downtown Charleston wedding at the William Aiken House…

When a place has been woven into your family’s traditions for years, there’s something especially meaningful about beginning your marriage there. For Addison, Kiawah Island has been a beloved part of life since childhood. So when it came time to choose a wedding location, bringing family and friends together on the island where so many […]

Charleston weather likes to keep everyone on their toes, but even by Lowcountry standards, Caroline and Cody’s wedding day was memorable. Rain fell for most of the day – a rarity in Charleston, especially when it seems determined to stick around from morning until ceremony time. Yet through every forecast update, timeline adjustment, and weather-related […]

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Ansley and James’ wedding in Columbia, South Carolina was the rare combination of both. After seven years together, these two gathered their favorite people for a celebration that felt joyful, colorful, and completely centered on the relationships that matter […]

Maren and Kevin’s wedding at Ford Field + River Club in Savannah was the kind of day that felt effortlessly relaxed from beginning to end. Set beneath the Spanish moss and overlooking the water, every part of their celebration embraced the natural beauty of the Lowcountry while still feeling elegant, colorful, and incredibly inviting. Living […]

Bridal portraits offer a rare pause in the wedding season – a moment to step away from timelines and celebrations and focus entirely on the bride herself. Bri’s bridal portrait session took place at a private residence in downtown Charleston, and the setting could not have been more perfect. Rich teal walls, layered textures, patterned […]

Some wedding days just feel easy in the best possible way – not because nothing is happening, but because everything unfolds exactly as it should, surrounded by the people who matter most. Dana and Hayden’s celebration at Cannon Green was exactly that kind of day. The morning began at their home here in Charleston, a […]
