Hannah and Chandler’s wedding day was the perfect combination of classic Charleston charm and laid-back coastal elegance. With an intimate ceremony downtown followed by a relaxed waterfront celebration on Isle of Palms, their day was filled with thoughtful details, beautiful scenery, and the people who mean the most to them. One of my favorite things about Hannah and Chandler’s story is how they met! Their best friends, who happen to be married to each other, were the ones who introduced them. How special to have the very people who brought them together celebrating alongside them on their wedding day!
Since Hannah and Chandler live in downtown Charleston, it only made sense to begin their wedding day in the city they call home. We started with a sweet First Look before wandering through the charming streets of downtown for portraits. Between the historic architecture, lush greenery, and beautiful hidden courtyards, Charleston provided the perfect backdrop for their timeless wedding style.
Their ceremony took place at Second Presbyterian Church, surrounded by just their immediate families and closest friends. It was intimate, meaningful, and exactly what they envisioned – a beautiful celebration focused on their marriage rather than all the extras.
After the ceremony, everyone headed out to Isle of Palms for a waterfront reception at a private rental home. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect for their relaxed celebration! Guests gathered on the lawn overlooking the water, where rattan chairs, patterned linens, and garden-inspired florals created an effortlessly elegant atmosphere. Soft shades of pink, green, and white carried throughout the details, perfectly complementing the natural coastal surroundings.
We also snuck away for a few portraits on the beach, where the soft evening light and ocean breeze gave us some of my favorite images of the day. I loved the contrast between their classic downtown Charleston portraits and the relaxed, romantic feel of the beach. What made Hannah and Chandler’s wedding so special was its simplicity. There was no need for an elaborate production – just a beautiful ceremony, an intimate gathering of their favorite people, and a celebration that felt completely true to them.
Hannah and Chandler, thank you so much for inviting me to document this sweet and meaningful day! Congratulations, you two!
