All of my brides are amazing, but Maggie? She’s a special kind of amazing! This girl emailed ME the day after her wedding, en route to her honeymoon, to thank me for being there with them on their wedding day. WHAT?!?! Photographers dream of having clients that completely trust them. Clients who give them the creative freedom to make decisions about locations, posing, styling, weather, timelines… Maggie gave me all of that and more! After a long wedding season full of self-doubt and self-criticism, it was just the confidence boost I needed. I truly thrive when clients trust me and I think it really shows in my work. So, thank you Maggie – for being such a JOY to work with throughout the entire process!! Your trust in me meant so so much!!
Maggie + Mike’s day started at Hampton Park, where they shared a sweet First Look before starting portraits. Mike kept telling us that he was SO glad they decided to do a First Look and that was music to my ears. I truly believe that every couple should do a First Look on their wedding day. It truly makes the day more laid back, easy, and memorable!! Soon enough, we were joined by their bridal party and let me just say… they have an incredible group of friends + family! Everyone was so kind, so patient, so cooperative. I mean, seriously – this wedding was my DREAM wedding!!
After group photos in the park, we headed to their venue for the ceremony. Maggie + Mike said “I do!” in front of their closest family + friends, reciting personal vows that BOTH referenced Jay Cutler, ex-quarterback of the Chicago Bears. After the ceremony, they laughed about how they both mentioned him in their vows to each other. It was so sweet!! Maggie + Mike spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating with their family + friends. It was a truly joyous evening and I’m so lucky that I was able to be a part of it all. Here are some of my favorites from Maggie + Mike’s beautiful wedding at the Cedar Room in Charleston, SC…

When a place has been woven into your family’s traditions for years, there’s something especially meaningful about beginning your marriage there. For Addison, Kiawah Island has been a beloved part of life since childhood. So when it came time to choose a wedding location, bringing family and friends together on the island where so many […]

Charleston weather likes to keep everyone on their toes, but even by Lowcountry standards, Caroline and Cody’s wedding day was memorable. Rain fell for most of the day – a rarity in Charleston, especially when it seems determined to stick around from morning until ceremony time. Yet through every forecast update, timeline adjustment, and weather-related […]

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Ansley and James’ wedding in Columbia, South Carolina was the rare combination of both. After seven years together, these two gathered their favorite people for a celebration that felt joyful, colorful, and completely centered on the relationships that matter […]

Maren and Kevin’s wedding at Ford Field + River Club in Savannah was the kind of day that felt effortlessly relaxed from beginning to end. Set beneath the Spanish moss and overlooking the water, every part of their celebration embraced the natural beauty of the Lowcountry while still feeling elegant, colorful, and incredibly inviting. Living […]

Bridal portraits offer a rare pause in the wedding season – a moment to step away from timelines and celebrations and focus entirely on the bride herself. Bri’s bridal portrait session took place at a private residence in downtown Charleston, and the setting could not have been more perfect. Rich teal walls, layered textures, patterned […]

Some wedding days just feel easy in the best possible way – not because nothing is happening, but because everything unfolds exactly as it should, surrounded by the people who matter most. Dana and Hayden’s celebration at Cannon Green was exactly that kind of day. The morning began at their home here in Charleston, a […]
