Lea’s grandparents home on Wadmalaw Island was the PERFECT choice for Lea + Cooper’s wedding day celebration. Not only was it pretty much Lea’s second home growing up, but it is also where Lea + Cooper first said “I love you” to each other… and where Cooper proposed! So it was only fitting that Lea + Cooper would choose this magical place to celebrate with their family + friends on their wedding day. Lea envisioned a garden glam soiree complete with textural floral arrangements, soft green eucalyptus, Spanish Moss, oyster shells, and hints of glamorous gold throughout. Every detail of this wedding day was thoughtfully considered – including a bed swing hanging from one of her grandparents’ oak tree that was made by her father and covered in her great-great-grandmother’s linens, boiled peanuts that were handmade by Lea’s grandfather as a wedding favor, a cozy cigar lounge on the dock, a glamorous lounge area, and the most incredible lighting I’ve ever seen. I mean, those cafe lights and chandeliers strung throughout the trees on the property?! Incredible!
Lea + Cooper opted for a traditional church ceremony at Summerall Chapel at The Citadel, where Cooper went to school. After the ceremony, we all headed out to Wadmalaw for the celebration and stopped at the most beautiful avenue of oaks on the road leading up to her grandparent’s house for photos. Lea + Cooper shared their first dance as husband + wife as the sun set over Wadmalaw and it was beyond perfect. Lea + Cooper danced the night away with their family + friends before heading off to their afterparty through a tunnel of sparklers… and impromptu champagne shower. Here are some of my favorites from Lea + Cooper’s beautiful wedding day…

When Martha Camille told me that she wanted to recreate her mother’s studio bridal portraits, I’ll admit… I was a little hesitant. I’ve never done studio bridal portraits before and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to bring her vision to life. As a creative, I love doing things that are outside of […]
2023 was definitely one of the best years yet for my business. I had the honor of working with so many fabulous couples, in so many fabulous locations… including Spain, Italy, and Hawaii! I feel extremely lucky that I was able to experience such a tremendous year of growth and travel. Here are some of […]
This colorful winter wedding at Sea Pines Resort was the perfect way to start 2024. On one of the coldest days of the year, Caitlyn + Mark said “I do!” on the iconic 18th lawn at Harbourtown Links, overlooking the Calibogue Sound. Surrounded by their closest family + friends, their day was everything that Caitlyn […]
When I first started second shooting in 2011, I’ll admit… I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I was pretty good with my camera, technically. I could shoot in manual mode and had some understanding of flash. However, I wasn’t entirely sure of my role as a second shooter and had no idea exactly […]
Lowndes Grove is a magical venue for romantic bridal portraits. The house is bathed in gorgeous light, thanks to the large windows throughout. It has plenty of indoor space that you can use in case of inclement weather. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a classic style that complements the overall aesthetic of the property. […]
This post may be a year late, BUT I wanted to share some of my favorite wedding and engagement photos from 2022. It’s always such a treat to go back and see all of the amazing weddings I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of – and all of the amazing couples I’ve worked […]
