Mayzie + Hyrum’s intimate celebration at the Ocean Course on Kiawah gave me allllll of the Ralph Lauren vibes. When I look back at these images, I’m instantly transported – there’s something so Americana and nostalgic about the day, in the best possible way. Maybe it’s the classic blue hydrangea bouquet, effortlessly timeless. Maybe it’s Mayzie’s custom gown, with its tiered ruffles, bell sleeves, and delicate embroidery. Or maybe it’s the coastal setting itself – blue skies, ocean air, and a sunset that absolutely delivered. Whatever the magic ingredient was, I’m completely obsessed with every part of this day.
Planned as an intentionally intimate wedding with only their immediate family in attendance, Mayzie and Hyrum envisioned something low-maintenance, meaningful, and relaxed – and they executed it beautifully with the help of the ladies at Engaging Events. Traveling from Utah, they brought with them a love story that stretches back six years, all the way to high school, when they first met and quite literally grew up together. This wedding felt less like a production and more like a reflection of who they are and the life they’ve built side by side.
Mayzie kept the morning calm and personal, doing her own hair and makeup and soaking in the quiet moments before the ceremony. There was no First Look – instead, they chose to see each other for the first time at the aisle, with the Atlantic Ocean behind them and their families gathered close. That moment felt especially powerful, not just as the start of their marriage, but as the joining together of two families who have walked alongside them from the very beginning.
Their ocean-front ceremony at the Ocean Course on Kiawah was understated and elegant, letting the landscape do what it does best. With the sun dipping low and the light turning golden, the day unfolded slowly and naturally – full of conversation, connection, and the kind of joy that doesn’t need to be rushed. This wedding is such a beautiful reminder that luxury doesn’t have to be loud. Sometimes it looks like simplicity, intention, and trust in what matters most. Mayzie + Hyrum’s day was chic, timeless, and deeply personal – and one I won’t forget anytime soon.

Kendal and Alec’s wedding day at Sea Pines Resort felt relaxed, joyful, and beautifully personal from beginning to end. With close family and friends gathered on Hilton Head Island, their celebration was intentionally small – the kind of wedding where every guest feels deeply connected to the couple and the reason everyone is there. Some wedding days are beautiful. Others are joyful. And then there are the rare ones that feel like joy in motion – the kind you can feel in every frame, every laugh, every stolen glance. Rachel and Mac’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation was exactly that. From the very beginning, they chose to experience the day […]

For Jennie, Sea Pines has never been just a wedding destination – it’s home. Long before this day, she spent summers working in Harbour Town, learning its rhythms, its light, and the way life slows down just enough on Hilton Head Island. So when it came time to choose where she and Greg would get […]
