I absolutely LOVE traveling to document destination weddings and Atlanta definitely has a special place in my heart… it is where I photographed my very first wedding EVER! Traveling, meeting new people, and exploring new locations is just really good for my soul + my creativity. Shooting in a new place forces me to see things in a new way and I absolutely love the challenge of arriving to a new venue and trying to find the very BEST places for photos!
From the very first time I spoke with Grace, I knew we’d be a match made in heaven. This girl is a PLANNER, just like me, and she thought of every single little detail for her wedding day. I’m so thankful that she trusted me with the location decisions and I think the results were incredible. I mean, sometimes it’s completely worth trekking through a huge open field and/or standing in some wet, dewy grass for “the shot”. Thank you, Grace + Zain, for allowing me the creative freedom to create these portraits for you!!
Grace + Zain’s wedding day started before the sun rose – literally. Daylight savings took place on the night of their wedding, so the morning was DARK. Hair + makeup was well underway when we arrived and the first few detail shots I did were taken in almost complete darkness! Luckily, the sun came up and the lighting just got better and better as the morning went on. There was a slight chill in the air, but it quickly warmed up and actually turned out to be the most perfect fall day for a wedding!! Grace + Zain shared a sweet First Look in the middle of a field across from their venue and it was MAGIC! Zain just couldn’t stop saying how amazing Grace looked and I just love how sweet they are with each other. These two share a love that is so strong. It was amazing to witness it throughout the day.
After portraits, we headed over to the Atlanta Athletic Club to meet up with their bridal party for group photos. Grace + Zain have the most amazing friends + family. Literally, the nicest people in the world! It was such a joy to photograph them all, celebrating Grace + Zain’s love for each other. Everyone should be surrounded by this much love + support on their wedding day – and beyond! After group photos, we all headed into downtown Atlanta for Grace + Zain’s ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony, officiated by Grace’s former principal – which made it extra special. After the ceremony, everyone headed back to the Atlanta Athletic Club for the reception. We were able to sneak out for some sunset photos and they are some of my very favorite portraits EVER!! That light was SO good!!
Grace + Zain spent the evening celebrating with their friends + family, dancing the night away, and at the end of the night – they exited through a tunnel of sparklers. It was the perfect end to an absolutely incredible day. Here are some of my favorites from Grace + Zain’s beautiful fall wedding at the Atlanta Athletic Club…

There’s something so special about photographing a wedding that feels completely, authentically them. Ashley and Hannah’s wedding day at Magnolia Plantation was one of those days – full of laughter, meaning, and so much love. These two made the trip from Charlotte to celebrate their marriage surrounded by family, friends, and their sweet pup, Norman […]

Some weddings are more emotional than others and, for Sarah + Logan, this was especially true. After having to postpone their original wedding date abruptly due to a health scare, they said “I do!” just a year later – and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. They had waited a long time for […]

Lauren + James’ wedding day was one that won’t soon be forgotten. As a nod to their shared love of trying new restaurants, planner + designer extraordinaire, Allison Event Design, created a tented reception space with all of the restaurant-inspired details they love. A statement bar that wowwed guests, a mix of table sizes for […]

Becca + Stephen’s art deco inspired wedding at the American Theatre in downtown Charleston was one for the books! Their day was filled with so much love, joy, and thoughtfulness – I swear, the best weddings are always the ones that are centered around the couple and their family + friends. Sure, pretty details are […]

2025 got off to the very best start with Maggie + Britt! I absolutely ADORE these two and their wedding day was the perfect way to start the new year. Their shared love of the water and all of the natural beauty that the Lowcountry has to offer made the Regatta Inn a no-brainer choice […]

Payton + Connor’s rainy celebration at Lowndes Grove was the PERFECT way to close out the 2024 wedding season. When I first spoke with Payton, she told me that she envisioned a colorful wedding day – despite being married in late December. I LOVE that she went with bright florals and colors because it was […]
