Emily + Jon’s wedding day was a very special one for me. 5 years ago, I photographed her brother’s wedding in Charleston – so it was extra special to shoot another wedding for this amazing family! Throughout the weekend, people kept telling me that Emily knew she wanted to have me as her wedding photographer before she had even met Jon – which is honestly the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard – and it was SUCH an honor to be the one they chose to document their beautiful destination wedding in St Augustine, Florida.
Their beautiful day started off with a sweet First Look. Jon’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was EVERYTHING!! We found some amazing locations nearby that gave us both a Southern feel, as well as a tropical vibe – and I think their portraits are some of my very favorite portraits EVER!! This is what I love most about shooting in a new destination… location scouting and trying to find some unique, beautiful locations for beautiful photos. I’m pretty much obsessed with all of the spots we used!
Emily + Jon had a traditional Catholic mass and said “I do!” in front of their closest family + friends. After the ceremony, we had extra time for bridal party + sunset photos… I love when we have a wedding day timeline that is LOADED with photo time!! As the sunset, Emily + Jon entered the reception and shared a beautifully choreographed First Dance together – and, after an amazing seated dinner, everyone hopped on the dancefloor. Let me tell you, the Whalen family knows how to throw an amazing party! The dancefloor was PACKED all night long and everyone was having such an amazing time. I’ve never photographed a wedding where I wished the reception had gone longer… but I definitely wish we had more time on the dancefloor because those photos are EPIC!!
At the end of the night, Emily + Jon shared a private last dance before exiting through a tunnel of sparklers. It was the perfect ending to an absolutely incredible day. Here are some of my favorites from Emily + Jon’s beautiful St Augustine wedding at Treasury on the Plaza…

When Katie first told me about her wedding day vision – a classic brunch wedding overlooking the water at the iconic Ocean Course on Kiawah Island – I knew it was going to be such a beautiful celebration. There really isn’t anything like a Kiawah Island wedding! A custom Modern Trousseau ball gown, topped with […]
I met up with Dawn + Joey in February for their beautiful engagement session here in Charleston. They brought their two beautiful pups, Willow + Cricket, along for part of the session… and boy, did they have a blast at Hampton Park?!? I am totally OBSESSED with the photos of them walking together (below) because […]
Audra + Rahul’s beautiful traditional Indian wedding in Charleston was definitely one for the books. I absolutely LOVE everything about South Asian/Indian weddings… the colors, the attire, the music, the food, the traditions, the rituals, the family element, the dancing. There really is nothing like it and if I could specialize in shooting only South […]
From the very first time I spoke with Martha Camille, I knew that her Boone Hall wedding was going to be EPIC. I also knew that she was going to be a dream client for me – and she absolutely was! I love all of my couples, but it’s so extra special when someone has […]
When Martha Camille told me that she wanted to recreate her mother’s studio bridal portraits, I’ll admit… I was a little hesitant. I’ve never done studio bridal portraits before and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to bring her vision to life. As a creative, I love doing things that are outside of […]
2023 was definitely one of the best years yet for my business. I had the honor of working with so many fabulous couples, in so many fabulous locations… including Spain, Italy, and Hawaii! I feel extremely lucky that I was able to experience such a tremendous year of growth and travel. Here are some of […]
