There’s something about being near the water that instantly slows everything down. Jordan and Greg were married at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor, and their wedding day unfolded with the kind of ease that can only be felt. An al fresco, tented celebration by the harbor, layered with soft light, movement, and color, it was the kind of day that invited everyone to exhale and simply be present.
Blue patterns and textured linens anchored the design, giving the day a timeless, coastal foundation. Against that backdrop, florals in peach, pink, orange, and yellow brought warmth and life – vibrant without being overwhelming, expressive without feeling busy. Everything felt intentional but relaxed, like a beautiful dinner party that happened to become a wedding.
What Jordan and Greg cared about most wasn’t perfection – it was presence. That value echoed throughout the day, from the way they moved through their wedding without rushing to the way guests lingered, talked, and laughed beneath the tent as the evening set in. The tented reception felt especially magical as the light shifted and the harbor breeze moved through the space. Patterns, textures, and florals softened the structure, creating an environment that felt elegant but never formal — elevated without losing warmth.
This Cottages at Charleston Harbor wedding was a reminder that the most memorable celebrations are often the ones that feel uncontrived. Where design supports the experience instead of leading it. Where color adds joy, not noise. And where the best moments happen when no one is trying too hard to create them. Jordan and Greg’s day felt honest, coastal, and beautifully lived-in – the kind of wedding that stays with you not because it demanded attention, but because it earned it.

Some wedding days unfold exactly as planned. Others ask you to let go, adapt, and trust what matters most. Lauren and Billy’s wedding at Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head was very much the latter – and in many ways, that’s what made it so meaningful. Elegant, sophisticated, and deeply classic in style, their day […]

Mayzie + Hyrum’s intimate celebration at the Ocean Course on Kiawah gave me allllll of the Ralph Lauren vibes. When I look back at these images, I’m instantly transported – there’s something so Americana and nostalgic about the day, in the best possible way. Maybe it’s the classic blue hydrangea bouquet, effortlessly timeless. Maybe it’s […]

When it comes to tipping wedding vendors, there’s often a lot of conflicting information – especially when it comes to tipping photographers. Should you tip them? If so, how much? And who exactly should receive it – the lead photographer or their team? The truth is, while tipping your wedding photographer is never expected, it’s […]

Erin and Buddy’s Ocean Course Kiawah wedding was a day designed to feel calm, unrushed, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved, especially the two of them. The morning unfolded slowly, just as they’d planned. No chaos, no overstuffed schedule. Erin and Buddy got ready separately, knowing they had built in what so many couples forget […]

Some wedding days go exactly as planned. Nicole and Thomas’ Boone Hall wedding reminded me why the ones that don’t often stay with you the longest. The morning began bright and full of promise — sunshine filtering through the trees, that unmistakable calm before everything begins. Boone Hall in the summer always feels expansive and […]

Alyssa and Joe’s colorful Magnolia Plantation wedding was the kind of wedding day that I just LOVE photographing – easy, joyful, and beautifully unbothered by expectation. Last summer, they gathered about 50 of their closest family and friends for a brunch celebration that felt more like a garden party than a formal event, and that […]
