Sarah + Steven’s wedding day began quietly, in the best way. Beautiful light filtered into the girls’ getting ready suite at The Omni Hilton Head, where Sarah was getting ready – not alone, but alongside two very important people — Steve’s daughters, Lana and Leah. Joined also by her mother and sister, they laughed, helped, watched, and settled into the day together, as if this rhythm had always existed. In many ways, it had. This wedding wasn’t just about becoming husband and wife — it was about becoming a family.
Sarah and Steve’s story spans miles and moments. They met while Sarah was on a road trip — the kind of detail that tells you everything you need to know about how they move through the world: curious, open, and unafraid of unexpected turns. Hilton Head felt like the right place to gather the people who matter most, especially with Sarah’s parents living nearby. With just 50 guests, their Omni Hilton Head wedding felt intimate and intentional, never overproduced.
Family was woven into every part of the day. Sarah’s sister stood beside her as Maid of Honor, while one of Steven’s seven brothers served as Best Man. Always close by were Lana and Leah – present not just in the logistics of the day, but in its meaning. Sarah will be adopting the girls, and that quiet, powerful truth shaped the wedding in ways you could feel more than see.
The ceremony was heartfelt and grounded. The kind that makes you lean in rather than look around. And as the evening unfolded, the celebration followed suit – music playing, conversations stretching, guests lingering. There was a DJ, but no pressure for big party energy. Just an elegant night that felt comfortable, connected, and very much their own. This Omni Hilton Head wedding was a reminder that the most meaningful celebrations aren’t always the ones trying to be impressive. Sometimes they’re the ones that simply create space – for family, for connection, and for a new chapter to begin.

Sarah and Jake have been together for ten years. That kind of history shows up in subtle ways – in ease, in trust, in the way two people move through a day without needing to perform. Living in New York City, with Jake’s parents based in Charleston, Planters Inn felt like a natural place for […]

Some wedding days are carefully planned. Others unfold exactly the way they’re meant to. Melissa and Eric originally hired me to photograph their elopement closer to home near Lake Wylie. But when Melissa’s father became ill, everything shifted. Plans were paused, priorities reordered, and space was made for what mattered most. When the time felt […]

There’s something about being near the water that instantly slows everything down. Jordan and Greg were married at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor, and their wedding day unfolded with the kind of ease that can only be felt. An al fresco, tented celebration by the harbor, layered with soft light, movement, and color, it was […]

This year FLEW by! I feel like I blinked and we’re just 3 days away from the New Year. It’s been a quick one, but it’s also been a great one. Personally, I’ve grown by leaps and bounds. Creatively, I’m rediscovering myself. 2025 was a year for getting back to my roots and undoing some […]

Some couples know exactly what they want. Not because they’ve seen it everywhere, but because it feels true to them. Alyse and Greg were that kind of couple. From our very first phone call, Alyse described her vision in just a few words: romantic, moody, editorial. No big production. No venue. No audience. Just the […]
