Classic. Traditional. Southern. Those are the words Lauran used to describe her wedding style inspiration. She envisioned a day filled with natural elements like turkey feathers, magnolia leaves, fruits, vegetables, and a lot of romantic candle light. No bling, no rhinestones. A soft color palette of creams, neutrals, and greenery and a beautiful silk + lace ball gown that was the PERFECT dress for this classic winter soiree. The bridesmaids looked fabulous in their neutral mismatched dresses paired with beautiful white bouquets. The groom + groomsmen all wore custom Brackish Bowties paired with boutonnieres featuring feathers!
Despite some morning rain, the skies cleared just in time for pre-ceremony photos. A romantic fog rolled in just before their ceremony at St Michael’s church in downtown Charleston, then everyone headed to the Rice Mill for their reception. Wooden tables with burlap runners, white taper candles, magnolia garland, lanterns, two beautiful lounge areas, and creative floral centerpieces featuring artichokes, apples, berries + turkey feathers completed the design. Guests enjoyed delicious Charleston cuisine before hopping on the dancefloor, which was packed throughout the night. Lauran + Alex exited through a tunnel of sparklers before hopping into their car and heading off as newlyweds. It was an absolutely PERFECT way to start the year! Here are some of my favorites from Lauran + Alex’s beautiful winter Charleston wedding…

Tucked into the heart of historic downtown Charleston, Bri and Brett’s wedding felt less like an event and more like being invited into something deeply personal. Hosted at a private residence South of Broad – a home Bri knows well, as she manages the property for the owners – the setting carried a level of […]

Kendal and Alec’s wedding day at Sea Pines Resort felt relaxed, joyful, and beautifully personal from beginning to end. With close family and friends gathered on Hilton Head Island, their celebration was intentionally small – the kind of wedding where every guest feels deeply connected to the couple and the reason everyone is there. While […]

Some wedding days are beautiful. Others are joyful. And then there are the rare ones that feel like joy in motion – the kind you can feel in every frame, every laugh, every stolen glance. Rachel and Mac’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation was exactly that. From the very beginning, they chose to experience the day […]

For Jennie, Sea Pines has never been just a wedding destination – it’s home. Long before this day, she spent summers working in Harbour Town, learning its rhythms, its light, and the way life slows down just enough on Hilton Head Island. So when it came time to choose where she and Greg would get […]

Some places hold more than memories – they hold generations. For Madeline + Porter, Hilton Head wasn’t just a beautiful setting for their wedding day at Sea Pines Resort; it was part of their family story long before they ever said “I do.” With both of their parents having been married on Hilton Head and […]

Nine years of growing up together gives you a certain steadiness – the kind that doesn’t panic when plans unravel. That quiet confidence defined Walker + Addi Grace’s wedding day at Boone Hall, even as steady rain reshaped nearly every detail of their celebration. High school sweethearts who met as freshmen and now call Columbia, […]
