Sarah Margaret + Stephen met as camp counselors at Camp St Christopher out on Seabrook Island and their wedding day was the perfect reflection of them, in so many ways. From Sarah Margaret’s navy Jack Rogers sandals, to the guys’ sail boat socks, to the handwritten signage throughout the wedding, their getaway boat, and sunflowers sprinkled throughout the wedding design… this was a wedding filled with personal details that really reflect all of the things that Sarah Margaret + Stephen love together as a couple. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left that evening, I was smiling from ear to ear because these two are just so incredibly special. Surrounded by so many friends and their incredible families, Sarah Margaret + Stephen started their life together in style – and what a celebration it was!
This adventurous, outdoor-loving couple started the day with a beautiful First Look in the woods – naturally – then met up with their bridal party + families before their waterfront ceremony underneath the oaks. Music played a big role in their day, with 5 of their good friends joining together to play throughout the ceremony. The music was absolutely incredible! Sarah Margaret + Stephen sang and danced the night away before leaving through a tunnel of sparklers and hopping onto a boat for their getaway. It was such a special day and I’m so honored to have been able to document it all for them. Here are some of my favorites from Sarah Margaret + Stephen’s Charleston wedding at Oak Pointe Plantation on John’s Island…

I was introduced to Cait through former DCW bride and fellow photographer, Lindsay, who had worked with Cait previously, but was not available for her wedding day. I’m SO thankful that Lindsay connected us because I immediately fell in love with Cait and her vision for a sweet, intimate wedding celebration in Charleston. Caitlin’s parents […]
When Katie first told me about her wedding day vision – a classic brunch wedding overlooking the water at the iconic Ocean Course on Kiawah Island – I knew it was going to be such a beautiful celebration. There really isn’t anything like a Kiawah Island wedding! A custom Modern Trousseau ball gown, topped with […]
I met up with Dawn + Joey in February for their beautiful engagement session here in Charleston. They brought their two beautiful pups, Willow + Cricket, along for part of the session… and boy, did they have a blast at Hampton Park?!? I am totally OBSESSED with the photos of them walking together (below) because […]
Audra + Rahul’s beautiful traditional Indian wedding in Charleston was definitely one for the books. I absolutely LOVE everything about South Asian/Indian weddings… the colors, the attire, the music, the food, the traditions, the rituals, the family element, the dancing. There really is nothing like it and if I could specialize in shooting only South […]
From the very first time I spoke with Martha Camille, I knew that her Boone Hall wedding was going to be EPIC. I also knew that she was going to be a dream client for me – and she absolutely was! I love all of my couples, but it’s so extra special when someone has […]
When Martha Camille told me that she wanted to recreate her mother’s studio bridal portraits, I’ll admit… I was a little hesitant. I’ve never done studio bridal portraits before and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to bring her vision to life. As a creative, I love doing things that are outside of […]
