From the very first time I spoke with Natalie about her wedding day vision, I knew their wedding day was going to be oh-so-good and uniquely “them”. I clearly remember Natalie telling me that she loved sunflowers and that they would play a prominent role in their wedding day design… and, to be honest, that’s not a very common flower for weddings here in Charleston, so I knew their wedding design was going to be something new + fun for me to photograph!! I seriously get so excited when my clients do something a little different… I love seeing my clients’ personalities shine through all of their details!!
From Natalie’s stunning custom Jodi Moylan raw silk gown, her beautiful floral crown, the two piece bridesmaid dresses, wildflower bouquets, funky boutonnieres, and amazing green velvet lounge couches… every detail was perfection. Natalie + Matthew opted to forego the First Look and stick with the traditional reveal. The look on Matthew’s face when he first saw Natalie coming down the steps towards him was priceless. After their ceremony, which was officiated by Matthew’s brother, we finished up group photos and then spent some time doing portraits nearby. After being announced into their reception, they shared their first dance as husband + wife, then joined their guests inside the Gadsden House for a seated dinner.
After dinner, Natalie’s family released balloons in memory of Natalie’s older sister, Katelynn, who would have turned 31 years old that day. It was such a sweet moment to honor her memory before the party got started. The dance floor was packed all night and it was so fun to see Natalie + Matthew surrounded by so much love + support. It’s a wedding I’ll always remember because of all of the sweet traditions + personal details that were such a big part of the overall day. Here are some of my favorites from Natalie + Matthew’s gorgeous Gadsden House wedding…

Taylor and Clay’s wedding at the The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort felt like a natural extension of who they are – thoughtful, intentional, and deeply rooted in what they love most. Traveling to South Carolina from central Missouri, the two share a connection that’s been shaped in many ways by the game […]

Ava and Alex’s wedding day felt like the perfect blend of classic elegance and genuine, unfiltered joy – the kind of celebration where every moment feels light, meaningful, and deeply felt all at once. The two now call Greenville home, and their season leading up to the wedding was a full one. Ava just graduated […]

Tucked into the heart of historic downtown Charleston, Bri and Brett’s wedding felt less like an event and more like being invited into something deeply personal. Hosted at a private residence South of Broad – a home Bri knows well, as she manages the property for the owners – the setting carried a level of […]

Kendal and Alec’s wedding day at Sea Pines Resort felt relaxed, joyful, and beautifully personal from beginning to end. With close family and friends gathered on Hilton Head Island, their celebration was intentionally small – the kind of wedding where every guest feels deeply connected to the couple and the reason everyone is there. While […]

Some wedding days are beautiful. Others are joyful. And then there are the rare ones that feel like joy in motion – the kind you can feel in every frame, every laugh, every stolen glance. Rachel and Mac’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation was exactly that. From the very beginning, they chose to experience the day […]

For Jennie, Sea Pines has never been just a wedding destination – it’s home. Long before this day, she spent summers working in Harbour Town, learning its rhythms, its light, and the way life slows down just enough on Hilton Head Island. So when it came time to choose where she and Greg would get […]
