In the days leading up to Lindsay + Adam’s wedding day, we were both watching the weather closely. With rain in the forecast, we made the decision to do their First Look and portraits early in the morning – which ended up being the best decision ever! Our timing was pretty much perfect, because as soon as we got to our cars after portraits, it started to rain… and then it continued to rain for the rest of the day.
We knew we would need to figure out a rain plan for their ceremony. Our original plan for Hampton Park just wouldn’t work well in the rain. I reached out to Linda at the Thomas Bennett House and she absolutely saved the day. I am SO grateful to her for allowing Lindsay, Adam, and their 15 wedding guests to use their front porch for their ceremony at the very last minute. We utilized chairs from inside the house and put together a makeshift ceremony site… and I think it was pure perfection! As the rain fell, Lindsay + Adam said “I do!” surrounded by their closest family + friends. It was so romantic and so beautiful… I’m just so happy it all worked out for us!!
Linda, I cannot thank you enough for saving the day and making me look like a hero. You are absolutely wonderful for allowing us to use the porch at the very last minute. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Here are some of my favorites from Lindsay + Adam’s sweet rainy day elopement…

Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
Dawn + Joey’s classic coastal summer wedding at Dataw Island Club was truly one that I will never forget. Every single detail was so thoughtfully curated and it was such an honor to be a part of their full wedding weekend. From their cozy rehearsal dinner the night before, to their epic celebration on the […]
I love it when my couples opt to do an engagement session with me before their wedding day. While it’s by no means necessary, I always really love getting to know my couples before the wedding day – and I also love being able to take some epic photos of them during this special time […]
From the very first time I spoke with Caroline, I knew that her wedding day was going to be so special. With just their immediate families in attendance, Caroline + Kevin’s day was centered around family – and they wanted to begin their life together surrounded by the people who love them the most in […]
