Kristin + Jay are truly amazing people. From the first time I met them, I knew their wedding day was going to be very special. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to end 2018 with! Their wedding day was so perfect and after the end of a long wedding season, it was a breath of fresh air to celebrate with such amazing people and their families. From the moment I drove through the gates at Lowndes Grove on their wedding day, I knew it was going to be incredible. Seeing the wooden pews set up for their ceremony on the front lawn was a fun surprise… I LOVE them and think they really add so much to the feel of the ceremony. If they had put that much thought into their ceremony seating, I knew the rest of their details and design was going to be phenomenal… and it was!!
I don’t think I picked my jaw up off of the floor at all on their wedding day. Beautiful florals, fun linens, amazing stationery, stunning dresses all around, exceptionally kind family + friends, and a gorgeous reception design were just a few of the highlights of their day. Boy oh boy, it was one for the books!!
Kristin + Jay started their day off with a sweet First Look, followed by bride + groom portraits around the property. Their pup Jack Henry joined for some photos and he was such a sweetheart. He was literally the size of a Shetland Pony and I just wanted to take him home to snuggle with after the wedding… SO CUTE!!! Their bridal party looked stunning in classic black tuxes for the guys and mulberry-colored gowns for the girls. The perfect color combination for a late December soiree. Guests arrived on a vintage bus to watch Kristin + Jay say “I do!” in a gorgeous sunset ceremony. It was so perfect!!
Kristin + Jay joined their guests for cocktail hour, then danced the night away with everyone on the dance floor. At the end of the night, Kristin + Jay exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped into their getaway car… the perfect ending to an incredible day… and my 2018 wedding year! Here are some of my favorites from Kristin + Jay’s amazing winter wedding at Lowndes Grove...

Ashley + Kyle’s wedding day was, in a word, magic. These two share such a beautiful love and I am beyond thankful to have witnessed it first hand. Ashley is pure JOY in human form and she absolutely glows in Kyle’s presence. The way they look at each other and care for each other is […]
From the moment I first spoke to Sandra, I knew her wedding day was going to be something special. She had a clear vision of a day filled with special details, personalized moments, and a celebration of love that was truly unique to her and Matt’s love story. Being in the fashion world, I knew […]
There’s something undeniably magical about Charleston SC. The cobblestone alleyways, the historic charm, and the gentle breeze off of the water – which creates the perfect setting for love to flourish. When I had the opportunity to capture Hannah + Ashley’s engagement session on an overcast day this past September, I knew it would be […]
Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
