Let me start off by saying that I absolutely ADORE Katie + Michael. Their relationship and love is something that everyone should aspire to have in their lives. They speak so highly of each other, even when they are apart from each other, and they are both so grateful for each other – which is something that I’ve learned is SO important in a relationship. I was just in awe of them all day. It was absolutely magical to watch them together.
Katie + Michael have been together for 13 years now. Yup – 13 years!! They’ve been through so much together, so this day was a long time coming. Katie + Michael started their day with a sweet First Look. As Katie stepped out of my car and saw Michael’s back turned towards her, she started to cry. She said to me “I am just so excited to marry this man!” and I could honestly feel her excitement deep in my soul. These two are bonafide soulmates. As soon as they saw each other, everything else disappeared. They were in their own little world of happiness and it was a joy to witness!
After some portraits downtown, we swung by Michael’s old apartment on Rutledge Avenue to take some photos out front. This was a special place for them and I loved that we were able to take some photos somewhere so meaningful to them. Before long, Katie + Michael were reciting their vows in front of their family + friends at St Luke’s Chapel and then their celebration continued over at the Charleston Harbor Resort. The dancefloor was PACKED all night… their friends + family really know how to party!! At the end of the night, Katie + Michael exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped onto a golf cart. It was amazing! Here are some of my favorites from Katie + Michael’s Charleston wedding…

Maren and Kevin’s wedding at Ford Field + River Club in Savannah was the kind of day that felt effortlessly relaxed from beginning to end. Set beneath the Spanish moss and overlooking the water, every part of their celebration embraced the natural beauty of the Lowcountry while still feeling elegant, colorful, and incredibly inviting. Living […]

Bridal portraits offer a rare pause in the wedding season – a moment to step away from timelines and celebrations and focus entirely on the bride herself. Bri’s bridal portrait session took place at a private residence in downtown Charleston, and the setting could not have been more perfect. Rich teal walls, layered textures, patterned […]

Some wedding days just feel easy in the best possible way – not because nothing is happening, but because everything unfolds exactly as it should, surrounded by the people who matter most. Dana and Hayden’s celebration at Cannon Green was exactly that kind of day. The morning began at their home here in Charleston, a […]

Taylor and Clay’s wedding at the The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort felt like a natural extension of who they are – thoughtful, intentional, and deeply rooted in what they love most. Traveling to South Carolina from central Missouri, the two share a connection that’s been shaped in many ways by the game […]

Ava and Alex’s wedding day felt like the perfect blend of classic elegance and genuine, unfiltered joy – the kind of celebration where every moment feels light, meaningful, and deeply felt all at once. The two now call Greenville home, and their season leading up to the wedding was a full one. Ava just graduated […]

Tucked into the heart of historic downtown Charleston, Bri and Brett’s wedding felt less like an event and more like being invited into something deeply personal. Hosted at a private residence South of Broad – a home Bri knows well, as she manages the property for the owners – the setting carried a level of […]
