First of all, I need to talk about Bridget’s AMAZING Hayley Paige gown. It’s one of my very favorite designs of hers – the Decklyn – and as soon as I saw the name on the outside of her gown bag, I pretty much cried. I LOVE this dress and Bridget wore it perfectly!! It was the perfect fun + preppy gown for this laid back brunch wedding! So back to the story… Bridget + Campbell decided that they wanted their wedding day to have a more European feel to it, so they opted for an early afternoon brunch wedding! It was my very first brunch wedding and I have to say, I loved it! I mean, it’s a natural light photographer’s DREAM to photograph an entire wedding without having to utilize artificial light!!
After a sweet First Look in downtown Charleston, Bridget + Campbell said “I do!” in a noon ceremony surrounded by their closest family + friends. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a seated brunch and a super laid back atmosphere, as most guests relaxed under the oaks in the garden, catching up with each other and enjoying the beautiful Charleston weather. I loved this concept and hope more couples embrace this style wedding in the future… it was so laid back and personal. Sign me up for some more brunch weddings, please! Here are some of my favorites from Bridget + Campbell’s brunch wedding at the Thomas Bennett House

When Martha Camille told me that she wanted to recreate her mother’s studio bridal portraits, I’ll admit… I was a little hesitant. I’ve never done studio bridal portraits before and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to bring her vision to life. As a creative, I love doing things that are outside of […]
2023 was definitely one of the best years yet for my business. I had the honor of working with so many fabulous couples, in so many fabulous locations… including Spain, Italy, and Hawaii! I feel extremely lucky that I was able to experience such a tremendous year of growth and travel. Here are some of […]
This colorful winter wedding at Sea Pines Resort was the perfect way to start 2024. On one of the coldest days of the year, Caitlyn + Mark said “I do!” on the iconic 18th lawn at Harbourtown Links, overlooking the Calibogue Sound. Surrounded by their closest family + friends, their day was everything that Caitlyn […]
When I first started second shooting in 2011, I’ll admit… I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I was pretty good with my camera, technically. I could shoot in manual mode and had some understanding of flash. However, I wasn’t entirely sure of my role as a second shooter and had no idea exactly […]
Lowndes Grove is a magical venue for romantic bridal portraits. The house is bathed in gorgeous light, thanks to the large windows throughout. It has plenty of indoor space that you can use in case of inclement weather. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a classic style that complements the overall aesthetic of the property. […]
This post may be a year late, BUT I wanted to share some of my favorite wedding and engagement photos from 2022. It’s always such a treat to go back and see all of the amazing weddings I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of – and all of the amazing couples I’ve worked […]
