I first met Carrie a few years ago when she interned with a local wedding planner. We stayed in touch through the years and when she got engaged to her longtime love, she asked me if I would photograph her wedding. It’s always such an honor when someone in the wedding industry asks you to be a part of their own wedding day! Although a date change made it impossible for me to be there on her actual wedding day, I had the honor of photographing her bridal portraits at Lowndes Grove before the big day. We had such a great time together and I absolutely loved how everything came together!
For her bridal portrait session, Carrie crafted her own bouquet filled with yellow, white + green blooms. I loved the pop of color! She wore a custom Robert Bullock brocade ball gown, emerald green shoes, and tied an emerald green ribbon around her bouquet in honor of her Dad’s birthday, which was 3 days after this session. What I really loved about this session is that Carrie was so laid back and really leaned into the process. Despite crazy wind, we went out to the dock and those are some of my favorite images ever! I love how the wind played with her dress and her curly hair! So fun!
Although I wasn’t able to photograph her wedding in the end, I’m so glad I was able to do her bridal portraits at Lowndes Grove. We had such a blast together! Here are some of my favorite images from Carrie’s beautiful bridal portrait session…

Ava and Alex’s wedding day felt like the perfect blend of classic elegance and genuine, unfiltered joy – the kind of celebration where every moment feels light, meaningful, and deeply felt all at once. The two now call Greenville home, and their season leading up to the wedding was a full one. Ava just graduated […]

Tucked into the heart of historic downtown Charleston, Bri and Brett’s wedding felt less like an event and more like being invited into something deeply personal. Kendal and Alec’s wedding day at Sea Pines Resort felt relaxed, joyful, and beautifully personal from beginning to end. Some wedding days are beautiful. Others are joyful. And then there are the rare ones that feel like joy in motion – the kind you can feel in every frame, every laugh, every stolen glance. Rachel and Mac’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation was exactly that. From the very beginning, they chose to experience the day […]

For Jennie, Sea Pines has never been just a wedding destination – it’s home.
