Overcast skies are a photographers’ best friend on a wedding day and I am SO thankful that Mother Nature decided to cooperate with us for Samantha + Brad’s big day last weekend. Despite ominous weather reports throughout the week, their wedding day was rain-free and it ended up being the PERFECT day for Samantha + Brad to say “I do!” in front of their family + friends.
After sharing a sweet First Look at Wild Dunes, they were joined by their beloved pit bull, Zeus – who came prepared to celebrate in his polka dot Crew LaLa bowtie collar! Their bridal party + families also joined us at Wild Dunes for photos before we all headed to the venue together. It was a gorgeous day on Shem Creek and I loved spending extra time with the bridal party there before the girls hid inside and the guys left via boat for their grand entrance into the ceremony.
Guests arrived and the ceremony got under way, with the boys arriving to the ceremony by boat as Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin'” played over the loud speakers. It was an entrance that won’t soon be forgotten, that’s for sure! Ringbearer Zeus walked down the aisle to “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” before Samantha walked down the aisle on the arm of her mother. It was such a sweet ceremony! Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck as I stole Samantha + Brad away for some photos across the creek near the shrimp boats. In full disclosure, the gnats were terrible but the photos were totally worth it!
Guests danced the night away and had a blast in the homemade photo booth – such a fun idea! At the very end of the night, Samantha + Brad left by boat – a very fitting ending to a fun-filled day. Here are some of my favorite photos from Samantha + Brad’s creekside Charleston wedding…

Hannah + Matt’s intimate brunch wedding at The Sanctuary on Kiawah was such a special celebration. If there are two things I LOVE, it’s an intimate wedding and brunch! Combine them together and it’s the perfect recipe for a memorable soiree. Can I specialize in brunch weddings? Pretty please?! I just love them! The morning […]
Ashley + Kyle’s wedding day was, in a word, magic. These two share such a beautiful love and I am beyond thankful to have witnessed it first hand. Ashley is pure JOY in human form and she absolutely glows in Kyle’s presence. The way they look at each other and care for each other is […]
From the moment I first spoke to Sandra, I knew her wedding day was going to be something special. She had a clear vision of a day filled with special details, personalized moments, and a celebration of love that was truly unique to her and Matt’s love story. Being in the fashion world, I knew […]
There’s something undeniably magical about Charleston SC. The cobblestone alleyways, the historic charm, and the gentle breeze off of the water – which creates the perfect setting for love to flourish. When I had the opportunity to capture Hannah + Ashley’s engagement session on an overcast day this past September, I knew it would be […]
Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
