As a traveling nurse, Jena spent most of this spring on assignment in New Jersey, working on a COVID-19 unit. After a grueling spring on the front lines of the pandemic, she decided to take a much-needed and well-deserved trip down South with her fiance, Barry. While they were here, they decided to do a destination engagement session and I was beyond excited to show them around Charleston. We met up early in the morning to avoid the heat and it was perfection! We started off downtown, then headed out to Boone Hall… and we had the ENTIRE place to ourselves!! It was surreal. In the 8+ years I’ve been in Charleston, I’ve never seen the place completely empty. What a treat?! I loved spending time with Jena + Barry here in Charleston and I can’t wait to see them next summer when I head up to Pennsylvania for their wedding day. Here are some of my favorites from Jena + Barry’s destination engagement session in downtown Charleston…

With a well-worn passport in hand, and an affinity for a good cocktail, Dana works with fun-loving and kind-hearted clients around the globe.
There’s something so special about photographing a wedding that feels completely, authentically them. Ashley and Hannah’s wedding day at Magnolia Plantation was one of those days – full of laughter, meaning, and so much love. These two made the trip from Charlotte to celebrate their marriage surrounded by family, friends, and their sweet pup, Norman […]

Some weddings are more emotional than others and, for Sarah + Logan, this was especially true. After having to postpone their original wedding date abruptly due to a health scare, they said “I do!” just a year later – and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. They had waited a long time for […]

Lauren + James’ wedding day was one that won’t soon be forgotten. As a nod to their shared love of trying new restaurants, planner + designer extraordinaire, Allison Event Design, created a tented reception space with all of the restaurant-inspired details they love. A statement bar that wowwed guests, a mix of table sizes for […]

Becca + Stephen’s art deco inspired wedding at the American Theatre in downtown Charleston was one for the books! Their day was filled with so much love, joy, and thoughtfulness – I swear, the best weddings are always the ones that are centered around the couple and their family + friends. Sure, pretty details are […]

2025 got off to the very best start with Maggie + Britt! I absolutely ADORE these two and their wedding day was the perfect way to start the new year. Their shared love of the water and all of the natural beauty that the Lowcountry has to offer made the Regatta Inn a no-brainer choice […]

Payton + Connor’s rainy celebration at Lowndes Grove was the PERFECT way to close out the 2024 wedding season. When I first spoke with Payton, she told me that she envisioned a colorful wedding day – despite being married in late December. I LOVE that she went with bright florals and colors because it was […]
