Sometimes, I don’t have the opportunity to actually meet my bride + groom in person until the day of their wedding. It’s not uncommon, especially since I photograph so many destination weddings here in Charleston and my clients sometimes don’t have the time to meet up while they are in town doing all of their planning. But through the magic of social media, it often feels like I “know” them when I walk into the bridal suite and I truly cherish the relationships that I am able to build with my clients before the wedding day – whether we actually meet in person or not! Even though we hadn’t met in person yet, I knew that Texas residents Stephanie + Jesse’s wedding was going to be special. Just by following them on social media, I could tell that they were my kind of people!! And I had SO much fun photographing their wedding day!
We started their beautiful wedding day with a sweet First Look under the Wedding Tree at the Legare Waring House. Soon, we were joined by their awesome bridal party and families for group photos and before we knew it, Stephanie + Jesse were saying “I do” in a beautiful ceremony in the Avenue of Oaks, officiated by Stephanie’s brother in law who quoted Drake and Notorious B.I.G. in his homily. It was AMAZING and so memorable! After their ceremony, Stephanie + Jesse cut their cake and then hit the dancefloor for the most EPIC dance party EVER!! I mean, it was insane and DJ Stephen Darby kept the crowd jumping… literally… all night. At the end of the night, Stephanie + Jesse exited through a tunnel of rose petals and hopped into their getaway car. The perfect ending to an amazing day! Here are some of my favorites from Stephanie + Jesse’s gorgeous Charleston wedding at the Legare Waring House…

There was an ease to Allyson and Brian’s wedding day that made it such a joy to photograph. From the moment I arrived at The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, everything felt relaxed, intentional, and centered on what mattered most: celebrating their marriage with the people they love. No overcomplicated timeline, no unnecessary stress – […]

After three years of being engaged and originally planning a much larger wedding, Allison and Jake decided to take a different path. Instead of a big celebration, they chose an intimate wedding day centered around what mattered most to them: each other and the people they love most. With just 19 guests in attendance – […]

When a place has been woven into your family’s traditions for years, there’s something especially meaningful about beginning your marriage there. For Addison, Kiawah Island has been a beloved part of life since childhood. So when it came time to choose a wedding location, bringing family and friends together on the island where so many […]

Charleston weather likes to keep everyone on their toes, but even by Lowcountry standards, Caroline and Cody’s wedding day was memorable. Rain fell for most of the day – a rarity in Charleston, especially when it seems determined to stick around from morning until ceremony time. Yet through every forecast update, timeline adjustment, and weather-related […]

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Ansley and James’ wedding in Columbia, South Carolina was the rare combination of both. After seven years together, these two gathered their favorite people for a celebration that felt joyful, colorful, and completely centered on the relationships that matter […]

Maren and Kevin’s wedding at Ford Field + River Club in Savannah was the kind of day that felt effortlessly relaxed from beginning to end. Set beneath the Spanish moss and overlooking the water, every part of their celebration embraced the natural beauty of the Lowcountry while still feeling elegant, colorful, and incredibly inviting. Living […]
