the highlights
01.
Since Middleton Place does not offer any formal getting ready space on-site, I recommend that clients book a hotel or AirBNB in downtown Charleston that provides plenty of space and ample natural light, so that your hair + makeup team and photographer can spread out and take full advantage of that natural light!
02.
The best place for a ceremony at Middleton Place is the Octagonal Garden. Of all the ceremony sites at Middleton, this one provides the best lighting and an absolutely breathtaking backdrop!
03.
The Pavilion at Middleton Place is light + bright, featuring amazing floor to ceiling windows that provide a ton of natural light. Neutral colored walls and light wooden floors creates a blank palette for this space to be transformed into whatever your heart desires! You could also do a tent on the greensward, which is another fun option.
If you're looking for a wedding photographer for your Middleton Place wedding, I'd love to be considered. I'm very familiar with this venue - it's one of my favorites in Charleston - and I would love the opportunity to work with you!
