YOU GUYS!!! I am STILL swooning over Meg + Scott’s incredible wedding at Lowndes Grove… and I’m pretty sure I will be saying that for a long long time. I can’t say it enough… think outside the box, let your vendors do what they do best, and make design + decor decisions based off of your personality instead of Pinterest. When you do that, your wedding will be unique, beautiful, and memorable! Meg + Scott did just that, drawing from Meg’s love of Europe and it’s old world vibe. An avid traveler, Meg was specifically inspired by French + Tuscan design, but she also wanted to add in some southern flare, since she spent summers in the south as a child. She envisioned a present day Midsummer Night’s Dream soiree that combined all of the things she loves so much and the end result was absolutely breathtaking.
Meg wore a STUNNING Carol Hannah gown straight off the runway. She is actually the very first bride to wear the gown off the runway! It was magical and the PERFECT dress for her whimsical wedding vision. As a fellow lover of gold, I was just in complete awe of this dress. It was INCREDIBLE!!! The bridesmaids wore midnight blue tulle dresses and the groomsmen wore classic midnight blue tuxedos, while Scott wore a modern navy tuxedo – the perfect compliment to Meg’s fabulous gown! And can we just take a minute to talk about that big, fluffy Coral Charm peony in Meg’s hair?! Perfection.
After a sweet First Look and photos with their bridal party, Meg + Scott said “I do” in a beautiful waterfront ceremony overlooking the Ashley River. Guests were treated to a variety of low country fare and the dance floor was packed all night. Meg + Scott’s first dance was a fun choreographed number that had everyone cheering. At the end of the night, Meg + Scott exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped into their getaway car before heading to their afterparty. It was an incredible ending to an amazing day. Here are some of my favorites from Meg + Scott’s Midsummer Night’s Dream-inspired wedding at Lowndes Grove…

Sarah and Jake have been together for ten years. That kind of history shows up in subtle ways – in ease, in trust, in the way two people move through a day without needing to perform. Living in New York City, with Jake’s parents based in Charleston, Planters Inn felt like a natural place for […]

Some wedding days are carefully planned. Others unfold exactly the way they’re meant to. Melissa and Eric originally hired me to photograph their elopement closer to home near Lake Wylie. But when Melissa’s father became ill, everything shifted. Plans were paused, priorities reordered, and space was made for what mattered most. When the time felt […]

There’s something about being near the water that instantly slows everything down. Jordan and Greg were married at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor, and their wedding day unfolded with the kind of ease that can only be felt. An al fresco, tented celebration by the harbor, layered with soft light, movement, and color, it was […]

Sarah + Steven’s wedding day began quietly, in the best way. Beautiful light filtered into the girls’ getting ready suite at The Omni Hilton Head, where Sarah was getting ready – not alone, but alongside two very important people — Steve’s daughters, Lana and Leah. Joined also by her mother and sister, they laughed, helped, […]

This year FLEW by! I feel like I blinked and we’re just 3 days away from the New Year. It’s been a quick one, but it’s also been a great one. Personally, I’ve grown by leaps and bounds. Creatively, I’m rediscovering myself. 2025 was a year for getting back to my roots and undoing some […]

Some couples know exactly what they want. Not because they’ve seen it everywhere, but because it feels true to them. Alyse and Greg were that kind of couple. From our very first phone call, Alyse described her vision in just a few words: romantic, moody, editorial. No big production. No venue. No audience. Just the […]
