Mandy + Daniel’s wedding day was everything a wedding should be – laid back, simple, beautiful, and most of all… FUN!! I love when my couples focus on creating a wedding day that is reflective of their personalities and Mandy + Daniel’s day was definitely that! From Mandy’s whimsical bohemian-inspired dress, to their gorgeous invitation suite, the guys’ succulent boutonnieres, and the bridesmaid’s mix-and-match dresses in various shades of burgundy, red, and pink… everything was coordinated, but not matchy-matchy and it was a JOY to photograph!
Their day started with a sweet First Look in downtown Charleston, followed by bride and groom portraits in the historic district. Their bridal party joined us downtown for photos, then we all headed over to the Rice Mill for their ceremony. Mandy + Daniel said “I do!” in a sweet ceremony officiated by Mandy’s brother. Their personal vows brought everyone to tears… me included!! Their love is so special and it was so evident throughout their ceremony.
After some sunset photos on the water, it was time to party! Mandy + Daniel treated their guests to traditional lowcountry fare and then spent the rest of the night tearing up the dance floor. At the end of the night, they exited through a tunnel of glow sticks. The perfect end to an amazing day! Here are some of my favorites from Mandy + Daniel’s whimsical winter wedding at the Rice Mill…

Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
Dawn + Joey’s classic coastal summer wedding at Dataw Island Club was truly one that I will never forget. Every single detail was so thoughtfully curated and it was such an honor to be a part of their full wedding weekend. From their cozy rehearsal dinner the night before, to their epic celebration on the […]
I love it when my couples opt to do an engagement session with me before their wedding day. While it’s by no means necessary, I always really love getting to know my couples before the wedding day – and I also love being able to take some epic photos of them during this special time […]
From the very first time I spoke with Caroline, I knew that her wedding day was going to be so special. With just their immediate families in attendance, Caroline + Kevin’s day was centered around family – and they wanted to begin their life together surrounded by the people who love them the most in […]
