Magnolia Plantation served as home to the Drayton family back in 1676 and has since become known as America's oldest public gardens. Featuring acres of stunning gardens, a beautiful avenue of oaks, the iconic white bridge, and several wedding venue options, Magnolia Plantation is a popular choice for couples who dream of Southern romance.

Magnolia Plantation offers two different bridal suite options, but they are both small and aren't very practical for creating light + bright getting ready images. I recommend that clients book a hotel or AirBNB in downtown Charleston that provides plenty of space and ample natural light, so that your hair + makeup team and photographer can spread out and take full advantage of that natural light!
02.
The White Bridge Lawn at Magnolia Plantation is my favorite ceremony location on the property. Surrounded by Spanish Moss and views of the iconic bridge, it doesn't get much better! If you're getting married at the Carriage House, the best spot for a ceremony is under the oldest oak on the property. The sun sets behind that tree and the lighting is incredible!

I personally love the Veranda at Magnolia Plantation because of the ambience and natural light. There is just nothing like a tented reception on the back lawn of the Veranda surrounded by live oaks and Spanish Moss. The Carriage House and Conservatory are your other venue options at Magnolia Plantation.
If you're looking for a wedding photographer for your Magnolia Plantation wedding, I'd love to be considered. I'm familiar with every wedding venue at Magnolia and would love the opportunity to work with you!
