Featuring 1786-era architecture, a covered piazza, centuries old live oaks, and the best sunsets in Charleston, Lowndes Grove really has it all. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is the perfect setting for a true lowcountry wedding experience.

the highlights
01.
Lowndes Grove is the PERFECT place to get ready on your wedding day! The bridal suite on the second level is light + bright, which is amazing for both your hair + makeup team, as well as your photographer! I usually recommend having the groom + groomsmen arrive at the venue before the First Look and finish getting ready downstairs for a cohesive look in your full gallery of images.
02.
Whether you choose to get married on the grand lawn, in front of the dock, or on the side of the Main House, having the Ashley River and the sunset as your background is absolute perfection! Add some beautiful wooden pews or a stunning floral arch installment and it's a recipe for swoon-worthy photos that you'll cherish forever!
03.
The tented patio on the side of the Main House is an easy choice for dancing the night away - and the clear top tent is great in case of inclement weather. PRO TIP: opt for a regular white tent in the spring + summer months... the clear top tent gets super HOT in the sun, which isn't good for your flowers or your guests!!
