Texas residents Kristen + James chose Charleston for their destination wedding because of Kristen’s ties to South Carolina and their shared love of the architecture + history that makes it so charming. They fell in love with the porches at Old Wide Awake Plantation, which ended up being the perfect spot for them to say “I do!” and celebrate with their closest family + friends. Their day started with a sweet First Look at the park, followed by photos with their bridal party at the main house. The guys looked oh-so-dapper in navy suits + cowboy boots, while the girls glammed it up with champagne sequined gowns. The bright, colorful florals were the icing on the cake… and speaking of cake, their gold foil semi-naked cake was a showstopper! Guests dined on traditional lowcountry favorites like shrimp + grits and macaroni + cheese… then they danced the night away before sending Kristen + James off through a tunnel of sparklers. It was a beautiful day and I’m so honored that I was able to document it all for them. Here are some of my favorites from Kristen + James’ beautiful Old Wide Awake wedding…

Ashley + Kyle’s wedding day was, in a word, magic. These two share such a beautiful love and I am beyond thankful to have witnessed it first hand. Ashley is pure JOY in human form and she absolutely glows in Kyle’s presence. The way they look at each other and care for each other is […]
From the moment I first spoke to Sandra, I knew her wedding day was going to be something special. She had a clear vision of a day filled with special details, personalized moments, and a celebration of love that was truly unique to her and Matt’s love story. Being in the fashion world, I knew […]
There’s something undeniably magical about Charleston SC. The cobblestone alleyways, the historic charm, and the gentle breeze off of the water – which creates the perfect setting for love to flourish. When I had the opportunity to capture Hannah + Ashley’s engagement session on an overcast day this past September, I knew it would be […]
Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
