I knew from the very first time I met Kayla + Scott that they were a DCW couple and I left our first meeting with my fingers crossed that they would choose me as their wedding photographer. Luckily, they DID choose me to document their wedding day and it was simply amazing. Kayla + Scott are such genuine, fun-loving, gracious, and kind people – and their families are just as fabulous! It was such an honor to document this perfect day for them all and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to be a part of it all.
So let’s talk about Kayla’s dress. I mean, COME ON!! It was a showstopper, for sure – and Scott looked so dapper with his white dinner jacket. The two of them together looked like they stepped right out of a classic movie! Kayla + Scott shared a sweet First Look in one of my favorite gardens at Magnolia, then we took some time to explore the property – and Kayla + Scott climbed into a tree!! See? They really ARE a DCW couple!!
They said “I do” with the beautiful white bridge in the background, then spent the rest of cocktail hour touring the property with me taking more photos. I was in heaven! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in front of the Veranda and as soon as the bridal party was introduced into the reception, the skies opened up and it began to pour down rain. Thank you, Mother Nature, for waiting until dark to rain!! Kayla + Scott didn’t leave the dance floor all night and everyone had a great time celebrating the newlyweds. At the end of the night, Kayla + Scott left through a tunnel of sparklers and jumped into a classic getaway car. It was the perfect ending to their beautiful wedding day.

Ashley + Kyle’s wedding day was, in a word, magic. These two share such a beautiful love and I am beyond thankful to have witnessed it first hand. Ashley is pure JOY in human form and she absolutely glows in Kyle’s presence. The way they look at each other and care for each other is […]
From the moment I first spoke to Sandra, I knew her wedding day was going to be something special. She had a clear vision of a day filled with special details, personalized moments, and a celebration of love that was truly unique to her and Matt’s love story. Being in the fashion world, I knew […]
There’s something undeniably magical about Charleston SC. The cobblestone alleyways, the historic charm, and the gentle breeze off of the water – which creates the perfect setting for love to flourish. When I had the opportunity to capture Hannah + Ashley’s engagement session on an overcast day this past September, I knew it would be […]
Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
