Katie + Scott were originally supposed to get married back in October… but Hurricane Matthew had other plans. Six months later, they said “I do!” here in Charleston and associate photographer Emily was there to capture every sweet moment. Their day started with a fun First Look under the draped pergola at the William Aiken House and soon there after, their amazing bridal party joined them for photos before heading downtown to the beautiful Unitarian Church for their ceremony. Katie + Scott said “I do” in a beautiful ceremony at the historic church, then headed back to the William Aiken House for their bright + colorful reception.
I am OBSESSED with their bold color palette and the florals by Branch Design Studio were incredible. Katie + Scott’s beloved cat Max was there in spirit and they paid homage to him with a fun cardboard cut out at their sweetheart table, as well as a pillow in the lounge area with his face on it! The dance floor was packed all night and when it was time to leave, Katie + Scott exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped into a pedicab. The perfect end to a wedding day that was absolutely worth the wait! Here are some of my favorites from Katie + Scott’s gorgeous Charleston wedding at the William Aiken House…

Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
Dawn + Joey’s classic coastal summer wedding at Dataw Island Club was truly one that I will never forget. Every single detail was so thoughtfully curated and it was such an honor to be a part of their full wedding weekend. From their cozy rehearsal dinner the night before, to their epic celebration on the […]
I love it when my couples opt to do an engagement session with me before their wedding day. While it’s by no means necessary, I always really love getting to know my couples before the wedding day – and I also love being able to take some epic photos of them during this special time […]
From the very first time I spoke with Caroline, I knew that her wedding day was going to be so special. With just their immediate families in attendance, Caroline + Kevin’s day was centered around family – and they wanted to begin their life together surrounded by the people who love them the most in […]
