The entire week leading up to Kaitlyn + Paul’s wedding day, the forecast didn’t look good. All sunshiny days on the calendar except for their day – the percentage of storm chances ranging anywhere from 50-80%. When I emailed Kaitlyn to ask her about a rain plan, her response was resolute: It’s not going to rain. And it didn’t!! In true Charleston weather fashion, the skies cleared and there wasn’t even a speck of rain on their fabulous day!
We started off with a sweet First Look along the Avenue of Oaks at Boone Hall Plantation and then we were joined by their beloved pit bull, Turner, who was the perfect gentleman! Their bridal party arrived to join in on the fun and before we knew it, we were all on our way downtown for their traditional ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church. Afterwards, everyone headed back to Boone Hall Plantation for their gorgeous reception overlooking Horlbeck Creek at the Cotton Dock. As the sun set, Kaitlyn + Paul shared their First Dance as husband + wife, then danced the night away with their closest friends + family. Their band was AMAZING and at the end of the night, the newlyweds exited through a tunnel of sparklers. Here are some of my favorites from Kaitlyn + Paul’s rustic Southern wedding at Boone Hall…

Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
I met up with Nicole + Thomas last summer for their engagement session out on Folly Beach. They found me through another one of my couples, whose wedding I photographed at Sea Pines last winter, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Charleston wedding! I loved spending the evening with them […]
Dawn + Joey’s classic coastal summer wedding at Dataw Island Club was truly one that I will never forget. Every single detail was so thoughtfully curated and it was such an honor to be a part of their full wedding weekend. From their cozy rehearsal dinner the night before, to their epic celebration on the […]
I love it when my couples opt to do an engagement session with me before their wedding day. While it’s by no means necessary, I always really love getting to know my couples before the wedding day – and I also love being able to take some epic photos of them during this special time […]
From the very first time I spoke with Caroline, I knew that her wedding day was going to be so special. With just their immediate families in attendance, Caroline + Kevin’s day was centered around family – and they wanted to begin their life together surrounded by the people who love them the most in […]
