Erin + Eric traveled from their home in Wisconsin, along with their closest family + friends, to say “I do!” in the lowcountry. They chose Sea Pines since her aunt lives on nearby Daufuskie Island and they really wanted to get married somewhere warm + laid back. They couldn’t have made a better choice! Their first born pup, Decker, and their 18 month old son, Lucas, were the real VIPs of the day and it was so amazing to watch them all come together in marriage.
Although rain threatened the area all morning, we were able to do all of their photos outdoors before the skies opened. Thank you, Mother Nature!! We started their day with a beautiful First Look in the local cemetery. Yup, that’s right… a cemetery! Erin + Eric totally trusted my vision and didn’t bat an eye when I told them where I wanted to do their First Look… and it turned out beautifully. You’d never even know! I am so thankful for clients who trust me, even when my plans include cemeteries on their wedding day!!
Erin mentioned that the bright pink azaleas were her favorite, so naturally we had to find some for their portraits. It was another odd-ball location choice – a random driveway – but it totally worked. I felt really creative and inspired with their portraits… and they are some of my new favorites because of it!!
Rain started shortly after family photos, so their ceremony was moved indoors… but it was so perfect. Decker fell asleep on Erin’s train during the ceremony and Lucas started crying during their vows. Everyone was laughing and it was a memorable ceremony for sure!!
Their reception took place at the Atlantic Room and they danced the night away with their friends + family after a delicious seated meal. Both Erin + Eric had smiles on their faces all evening and it was clear just how loved they are. It was an incredible day and I’m honored to have been a part of it all. Here are some of my favorites from Erin + Eric’s spring wedding at Sea Pines Resort…

Hannah + Matt’s intimate brunch wedding at The Sanctuary on Kiawah was such a special celebration. If there are two things I LOVE, it’s an intimate wedding and brunch! Combine them together and it’s the perfect recipe for a memorable soiree. Can I specialize in brunch weddings? Pretty please?! I just love them! The morning […]
Ashley + Kyle’s wedding day was, in a word, magic. These two share such a beautiful love and I am beyond thankful to have witnessed it first hand. Ashley is pure JOY in human form and she absolutely glows in Kyle’s presence. The way they look at each other and care for each other is […]
From the moment I first spoke to Sandra, I knew her wedding day was going to be something special. She had a clear vision of a day filled with special details, personalized moments, and a celebration of love that was truly unique to her and Matt’s love story. Being in the fashion world, I knew […]
There’s something undeniably magical about Charleston SC. The cobblestone alleyways, the historic charm, and the gentle breeze off of the water – which creates the perfect setting for love to flourish. When I had the opportunity to capture Hannah + Ashley’s engagement session on an overcast day this past September, I knew it would be […]
Hilton Head is a special place to Abby + Greyson, as Abby’s parents live there and she’s been visiting the area for years. I always love how the magic of Hilton Head and Sea Pines brings families together on such an incredible day. This September wedding day at Sea Pines started off with torrential rain […]
Somehow, it’s already February and I just realized that I haven’t posted my year-end recap from 2024. Yikes! Better late than never, I suppose! If I’m being totally honest and transparent, 2024 was a difficult year for me + my mindset. Self-doubt, not knowing where I “fit in”, feeling jealousy of other photographers, and not […]
