As I drove down the long, winding driveway towards Oak Point Plantation, my mind was racing with anticipation and excitement. Erin + Brent’s big day was finally here and I was so ready to document this amazing day for them. I had no idea what to expect as I pulled into the drive, as it was my first time out to Oak Point Plantation. To say that I am obsessed with this place would be a HUGE understatement. Oh. My. GAWD! Oak Point Plantation is truly a hidden gem and I sincerely hope that I have the opportunity to shoot MANY more weddings at this incredible spot along the beautiful Stono River. It was just the most peaceful, serene, and GORGEOUS place I’ve ever seen. The most absolutely PERFECT place for a wedding!
Erin’s romantic wedding vision came to life with the help of Whitney at Branch Design Studio, who created the most beautiful bouquets + centerpieces that really tied everything together. After a beautiful ceremony under one of the large oaks on the property, we had the opportunity to explore the property with Erin + Brent… and it was phenomenal. I wish I could’ve just shot portraits with them all night… it was THAT good! And the sunset? Wow. Simply stunning.
Guests dined on traditional Lowcountry fare while Travis Allison Band kept the dance floor packed all night. Brent even joined the band later in the evening, playing guitar with them to “Brown Eyed Girl”… and Erin + her bridesmaids jumped on stage to assist with vocals! The entire evening was just so picture perfect and I am just so in love with these photos from Erin + Brent’s amazing wedding day. Here are some of my favorites…
